Kestrel Class- Meet the rest of your new teaching team!

Hello everyone,
My name is Lyn Stones.  I am really looking forward to working with Mrs Burton and Mrs Pemberton in Kestrel Class this coming September.  Times are different, but don't worry, we are all here for each and everyone of you.

I have worked at Carlton School over 20 years and my daughters Sarah and Ruth were pupils here too.  They are both primary school teachers.

Walking in the Lake District is one of the things I like doing best.  I also like to bake at home and in school.

I am looking forward to seeing you in September, happy times ahead.

Love Mrs Stones

Hello, my name is Mrs Pemberton,  I will be working with Mrs Burton in September.
I can't wait to see all your smiley faces in school in our classroom.

I have been working as a teaching assistant at Carlton in Snaith Primary school for 9 years. I love my job helping children in our school, in the classroom and at lunch times in the playground. I am terrible at remembering children's names, so am hoping you will help me remember yours in September. 😊

When I am not at work, I love to spend lots of time outdoors. I love walking my dog Lily - we enjoy the countryside around Carlton, as well as long walks in the Yorkshire Dales. My family and I also love the seaside. I love to eat fish and chips and love walking the beach. Do you like the seaside?

I also like to play tennis. I have played since I was 14 years old. I play in two tennis teams and help children to play the game. I have made lots of friends playing sport, and enjoy keeping fit.

I have an old car that I enjoy driving. My car doesn't go very fast and she isn't sporty, but I love her very much.

I love to travel on holiday with my family. My favourite places to visit are Majorca, France and The Yorkshire Dales. I love collecting fossils and sea shells on the beach.  Maybe you could collect some shells if you go to the seaside?

Have a lovely summer holiday.
I can't wait to see you in September

Mrs Pemberton.

Mrs Mack will be in your class one or two afternoons a week.

Hello everyone. I am Mrs Mackintosh (or for short Mrs Mack) I am really looking forward to seeing you all and being your HLTA & Teaching Assistant in September!

I know it may feel a little strange to be back in school but don’t worry, we will work as a team to support one another and get through it.

As some of you know, I teach french and art  in school but did you know I love to bake?!

Baking is my preferred pastime at the moment. I bake a variety of cakes and cheesecakes, which the staff and children throughout school will say are quite delicious!
Especially the staff as they are my cake tasters! I’m sure they don’t mind!
I even entered my first competition, the Carlton Fete Bake Off 2020!
I came 1st!
Always have a go, you could surprise yourself - anything is possible!

What is your favourite cake and why?

My love of art began when I was a young child myself and it has grown throughout my adult life. It will be a pleasure to help guide, support and inspire your artistic visions.

Once again, I’m really looking forward to seeing you all in September, keep safe and well.

Mrs Mackintosh
